The coverage includes the early designs of the 1920's and 1930's, those of the 1950's and
1960's, including some now being withdrawn after long service, and the latest locomotives using
new technology. Many of these have been designed and made in India. The book gives
descriptions and technical data, with additional information on numbers and colour schemes.Illustrated with many diagrams (drawn by Edwin Lambert) and photographs.
