An essential finding aid is our book "Beyer, Peacock Locomotive Order List" as you will need the locomotive order number to access information on specific locomotives.

RCTS Major British enthusiasts society dedicated to sharing information about railways, both in Britain and around the world. Their archives and library have a large amount of material on overseas railways.

UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS MAP COLLECTION Collection of military intellegence maps including such things as the Tactical Pilotage series which are so useful for topographical information on railway routes. Free download.
